July 4th

Our fourth of July was celebrated with Ria, who came last Monday for "a day or two" and and stayed for almost a week - and we wish it could have been longer. Having that many days to spend together is a rare treat for us. We watched the fireworks at Wintergreen, and these are the only pictures I have of the week.





Up on top the mountain, it was downright chilly despite being in the mid-90's in C'ville. We laughed at ourselves as the 5 of us huddled under a wool blanket in July.


One other highlight of the week was seeing Will, whose Seattle residence keeps him away for far too long. He made it back to C'ville for one short night, but it was just like old times.
